About Design Slut
Design Slut Is Two Things:
A place for graphic designers to bitch about pimps, johns and co-hookers.
As designers we use our creative talent to whore ourselves out for money on a daily basis. As time goes by it is easy to feel used and fatigued by the "streets". At Design Slut, we've been there, we understand. Let Design Slut be your free therapist. Have a problem with your pimp (agency, boss)? Did a John (client) treat you unfairly? Tell us about it, get it out—you will feel much better. It will allow you to put on a fresh face, and go back to work diligently prostituting your artistic gift. (Be discreet—no names please. We don't want your pimps beating you up.)
A place to quickly post a link to your design-related project or product.
In order to live with yourself and what you do for a living, Design Slut recommends as part of your therapy, that you seek out fulfilling creative work in your spare time. If you are proud of this work, and would like to promote it—quickly post a link. You don't have to pretend to be interested in what people are talking about on a certain thread, and sneakily get people to view your product. We are all whores here. Just be the design slut that you are, and post away.
